It's hard to believe that 2011 is almost over - each passing year seems to go faster than the last.  December is a big birthday month in my house - three out of four of us celebrate birthdays next month, including both of my kids.  It certainly doesn't seem like 11 and 8 years ago that they were born!  I suppose that's as good a reminder as any to try to slow down this holiday season ...
